Consider implementing a rigorous recruitment process that focuses on technical capabilities, cultural fit, and attitude. First, show them how to prioritize based on the company’s strategic goals. Because startup staff end up having several roles combined into one, they may have many competing tasks on their desks. Prioritizing reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed and gets the most important projects for the business completed on time.

Secondly, breaking down larger tasks into small, doable chunks prevents discouragement and procrastination. 

Set up schedules and enforce them. Create plans as a team and transfer them to the workflow tools, complete with timelines. Ensure individual employees are aware of their part in the plan and their deadlines. Create reminders as deadlines approach.

Lastly, ensure that team members have access to the tools, technology, and resources they need to perform their tasks efficiently. Invest in software, equipment, and training programs that support productivity and remove any barriers to success.
